Anemone canadensis (meadow anemone) is a North American native of the Ranunculaceae family. A. canadensis is a good ground cover species that blooms in late spring to early summer.
It has delicate, upward-facing, white flowers and spreads through a combination of reseeding and rhizomes, naturalizing easily. In the wild, A. canadensis is often found in wet areas such as flood plains and wet meadows. This species prefers constant and consistent moisture.
