hosta ‘Krossa Regal’

Hosta ‘Krossa Regal’ is one of the more upright hosta cultivars, it creates a pleasant vase shape with its foot-long wavy steel blue leaves.

It is an excellent accent plant that thrives in part shade where it retains its color best. In mid to late summer, six-foot-tall spires shoot up several feet above the foliage bearing many lavender, trumpet-shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds. At Lurie Garden we grow geraniums in front of this plant, which hides the stems and allows the leaves to float like a blue-green cloud above.
